
Suppliers Conduct
Policy
Thaddea's structural foundation is based on integrity, dependability and the message of inspiration through performance products. When dealing with suppliers and their subcontractors, we expect the implementation of these practices in the work place and compliance with the ethical standards we set.
For Thaddea to conduct business with suppliers and subcontractors, the entities must handle their employees in an ethical, legal and impartial manner while complying to the United States laws. In addition, the suppliers and subcontractors must adhere to the laws of their country and where Thaddea products are sold, circulated, manufactured and bought. A disregard for these proceedings and laws are viewed as a violation of the Manufacturing Contract, which can result in the end of business practices between the supplier and Thaddea.
Mandatory Labor
Thaddea declines to conduct business with suppliers that use any form of forced labor as a business practice.
Child Labor
Thaddea declines to buy products from suppliers who use workers under the age of 15 years.
Mistreatment of Employees
The suppliers and subcontractors for Thaddea are required to conduct themselves respectfully and with dignity toward their employees. Thaddea will not tolerate any form of physical or psychological harassment or abuse toward an employee of a supplier or subcontractor.
Discrimination
The suppliers and subcontractors for Thaddea shall not engage in employment discrimination, including hiring, benefits, advancement, pay, discipline, termination or retirement, on the basis of sex, race, religious faith, age, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, political opinion, or social origin.
Health, Safety and Environment
The suppliers and subcontractors for Thaddea are required to provide a work environment that is healthy and safe for their employees. Suppliers and subcontractors must conform to all pertinent workplace safety regulations, environmental laws and standards applicable to their operations. In addition, suppliers and subcontractors providing residential living accommodations to employees must make certain the accommodations are environmentally livable, healthy and safe.
Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
The suppliers and subcontractors for Thaddea must be familiar with the terms and respect the option of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
Wages
The supplier and subcontractors for Thaddea must pay each employee at least the minimum wage required by local law or the prevailing industry wage, whichever is higher, provide each employee a clear written report for each pay period and not withhold from employee pay for disciplinary altercations.
Benefits
The suppliers and subcontractors for Thaddea must provide each employee all legally mandated benefits.
Work Hours /Overtime
The suppliers and subcontractors for Thaddea shall not require or compel their employees to work more than a total of 60 hours a week or less if local laws permit and shall comply at all times with the legally mandated work hours and use overtime only when each employee is fully compensated according to the local law. In addition, the suppliers and subcontractors must inform each employee at the time of their hiring if mandatory overtime is a condition of their employment. In countries where the laws do not limit the work hours, employees are only required to work a regular workweek plus 12 hours of overtime and be given one day off in every seven-day period. Overtime hours must be compensated at the legal rate required in the country. Countries that do not compensate for overtime must provide at least the employees regular hourly pay.
Ethical and Legal Business Practices
The suppliers and subcontractors for Thaddea are required to be ethical with their business practices and fully conform with all applicable local, state, federal, national and international laws and rules including, but not limited to, those relating to child labor, wages, work hours, labor, health, safety and environment and immigration.
Any company, including retailers, that adopt the Work Environment Policy of Conduct must comply with all pertinent manufacturing laws, local and government business laws within that country and support the Work Environment Policy of Conduct in accordance with the Ethics of Supervision and must apply the higher standard in cases of difference of conflicts.
Factory Observation
Inspections of third party factories are conducted by third-party monitoring companies, Thaddea employees and/or Thaddea affiliates. These inspections evaluate a third party supplier's compliance with Thaddea's Supplier Conduct Policy and their legal contractual obligations.
Stipulations of Commitment
Third party suppliers and subcontractors must execute agreements, which confirm their assurance to meet their obligations as employers to their employees. In addition, all third parties must agree to conform with laws applicable to the products they make and agree to respect Thaddea's Supplier Conduct Policy.
Remediation
With third party suppliers and licensees agreeing to the terms stated herein the Supplier Conduct Policy, Thaddea holds the authority to take proper action against individuals that fail to meet their legal or contractual responsibilities or to take sufficient action to deal with reported matters.
